POSITION - High School Physical Education & Health Teacher
START DATE - Beginning of 2026-27 School Year
LOCATION - Berkley High School
SALARY - Compensation will be based on the applicable provisions of the BEA Teacher Salary Schedule.
POSITION SUMMARY - The physical education/health teacher will demonstrate strong teaching skills while delivering instruction to students. The importance of physical activity and its relationship to a healthy lifestyle will be emphasized. Good sportsmanship will be taught and modeled.
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must:
- Valid Michigan Teacher Certification with:
- MC Endorsement or
- MX Endorsement or
- MB and MA Endorsements
- High School teaching experience is preferred.
- Provide concrete examples (through application materials, interviews, and references) of their passion for teaching, comprehensive mastery of their subject matter, and deep understanding of how students best learn.
- Meet all State and Federal requirements for highly qualified status with their subject area.
