The Berlin Township School District, located in Camden County, New Jersey, is seeking a dynamic, student-centered, full-time Upper Elementary Math Teacher to join our school community. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of math instruction, differentiated learning, inclusive educational practices, and collaborative teaching models to support diverse learners in a middle school setting.
The ideal candidate is committed to creating a positive, engaging, and academically rigorous classroom environment that promotes student growth, independence and confidence.
Qualifications- Math (K-12) or Elementary School (or documented eligible for the same)
- Ability to work in a collaborative setting and co‑teaching setting
- Knowledge and understanding of the New Jersey Student Learning Standards
- A philosophical and practical understanding of differentiated instruction and a balanced instructional math program
- Broad knowledge of integrated math concepts within other content areas
- Ability to differentiate instruction, learning activities and assessments based on individual student learning needs
- Capacity to analyze student performance data to guide instructional planning and intervention
- Practical knowledge of current, research‑based, effective educational practices
- Strong and effective classroom management and behavior management skills based on Positive Behavior Supports and Restorative Discipline paradigms
- Practical and instructional knowledge, skills and application in technology for educational purposes
- Excellent speaking and writing communication skills
