Robert Half is partnering with a successful aerospace and defense manufacturer seeking a high potential Accounting Manager to join their growing division. Reporting directly to the CFO, this position is part of long‑term succession planning and offers outstanding career growth potential.

Key Responsibilities

+ Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes and prepare financial reporting packages

+ Conduct variance analysis, budget‑to‑actual reviews, and support internal management reporting

+ Partner with manufacturing and operations on inventory, WIP valuation, and job costing

+ Support audit preparation, SOX compliance, and internal control initiatives

+ Drive process‑improvement projects within the accounting function0

Requirements

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting

+ 7+ Years of full range accounting experience, centered in the manufacturing industry

+ Strong knowledge of full close and reporting cycles

+

Experience with large ERP systems (Epicor, SAP, or similar)

+ Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills

+ Ability to work independently without direct reports

+ U.S. citizenship and ability to pass standard background and screening requirements

Preferred Experience

Aerospace & Defense Industry, Public company reporting, SOX compliance, cost accounting, and financial analysis
