We are partnering with a growing financial services organization to identify an Assistant Controller to join its accounting leadership team. This is a highly visible role offering the opportunity to work across multiple complex business lines while becoming a key resource for accounting, systems, data analysis, and operational decision-making.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, learning sophisticated ERP systems, partnering with operations, and making a meaningful impact beyond traditional accounting responsibilities.

• Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to an accounting team of approximately eight professionals
• Support month‑end and year‑end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliations
• Develop expertise in the company’s ERP system and operational accounting processes
• Analyze large financial and operational data sets to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities
• Troubleshoot complex accounting and system‑related issues
• Partner with leadership to improve reporting, data integrity, and operational processes
• Support inventory, operational, contract, lease, and franchise‑related accounting activities
• Drive process improvements, workflow efficiencies, and stronger internal controls
• Participate in cross‑functional projects and strategic business initiatives

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience supervising, mentoring, or leading accounting staff
• Strong understanding of general ledger, AP, AR, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
• Experience working with ERP systems and complex accounting environments
• CPA preferred but not required
• Backgrounds in financial services, distribution, inventory‑intensive businesses, retail, wholesale, real estate, transportation, or operational accounting are highly valued
