SalaryThe position pays an average of $40.50/hour, depending on experience.
Role DescriptionSRI Telecom is in search of an OSP Construction Specialist with relevant project coordination experience to contribute to various cross‑functional project teams.
Key TasksDay‑to‑day will vary greatly in this position and will surely never be boring. Responsibilities include completing audits in single or multiple locations, inspections on nodes, amplifiers, power supplies, fiber taps, and enclosures, and completing computer and Smartsheet work each day. Manage and track milestones, create jobs in JT/Polaris, handle exceptions to the life‑cycle SLA, coordinate with teams and stakeholders, and act as a point of contact for cross‑functional groups including BOC, CPM, FPM, permit coordinators, specialists, and sales.
Report to management regularly and manage materials and reconciliation, quality control workflow, job estimates, project funding, and QC checklists (materials, invoice, pictures, footage). This role is autonomous; team is spread over multiple locations (field and office). It is 80% field and 20% office.
Ideal candidate has a strong work ethic and can complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
- Experience with BOTH coax and fiber is a must for this position.
- Coax experience (Amplifiers, taps, main line cable).
- Fiber experience.
- Must be willing to travel as needed (fleet/company vehicle will not be supplied).
- Project management skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong cross‑functional team coordination skills.
- Ability to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Self‑starter capable of working independently after proper training.
- Ability to learn and navigate proprietary software.
- Outside Plant Experience is beneficial but not required.
