Profit Center Manager

Responsibilities

• Train and encourage team to improve in all areas of the business.
• Contact and field questions from the Customers, Sales Force, and Front End Organization.
• Set high standards of conduct, and lead by example.
• Increase productivity, while not compromising quality.
• Assist in the development of yearly budgets and budget containment.
• Assist with the development of yearly business plans and report on monthly progress toward those plans.
• Reduce errors and customer returns by root cause analysis and put corrective action plans into place.
• Reduce inventory levels, while not compromising customer delivery.
• Review all safety and OSHA requirements and make sure they are being adhered to.
• Support Kaizen methodologies to continue to improve processes.
• Lead continuous improvement and profitability growth initiatives.
• Report on initiatives monthly.
• Work with company policies and procedures.

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering
• 10+ Years of hands‑on operations experience in a manufacturing environment managing technical and hourly resources
• Must be self‑directed, well organized and have good follow‑up skills
• Strong record of continuous improvement success including demonstrated experience using Kaizen, cellular manufacturing, one‑piece flow, 5‑S, standard work, visual management, kanban and process linking methodologies.
• Metal machining and assembly background.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong leadership capabilities and interpersonal skills.
• Solid PC skills including proficiency in MS Office applications
