Job Summary:

The temporary building substitute para educator serves as building substitute in the absence of a classroom teacher; provides support to classroom teachers and office staff when not substituting; performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree required; CT Teaching Certification preferred. Knowledge of general concepts of child growth, development, and instruction; flexibility to adapt to varying school settings, schedules and classrooms; ability to work well with staff and students. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle detailed work. Familiarity with computerized systems. Must possess a flexible nature, strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, and have the ability to work effectively with diverse groups, including students and adults.

Terms of Employment:

This position will begin upon hire and continue through the end of the  school year. Hourly rate of $24.90. There are no benefits associated with this temporary position.
