Job Summary:
The temporary building substitute paraprofessional serves as building substitute in the absence of a classroom teacher; provides support to classroom teachers and office staff when not substituting; performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required; CT Teaching Certification preferred. Knowledge of general concepts of child growth, development, and instruction; flexibility to adapt to varying school settings, schedules and classrooms; ability to work well with staff and students. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle detailed work. Familiarity with computerized systems. Must possess a flexible nature, strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, and have the ability to work effectively with diverse groups, including students and adults.

Terms of Employment:
This is a temporary position to begin as soon as possible. The position will end at the end of the  school year. Hourly rate for the  school year is $24.90. Hours are Monday-Friday 8:15 a.m.
