Civil Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design and analysis of substation site infrastructure for high-voltage electrical facilities, including structural steel, foundations, rigid bus systems, site grading, stormwater management, oil containment, and substation sanitary and water services.
• Assist in the development and approval of project scopes, specifications, engineering designs, details, material ordering, and cost estimates.
• Adhere to project schedules, including detailed planning of successive construction phases.
• Coordinate with Substation Engineering and Design to communicate project details.
• Review engineering vendor submittals and participate in vendor meetings.
• Review all construction drawings and design documentation prior to issuance to construction contractors.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an EAC/ABET-accredited program.
• 3-5 years of civil/structural experience, preferably in the electrical utility industry.
• Hold a Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) license (preferred).
• Possession of a Professional Engineering (PE) license (preferred).
• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Software proficiency: RISA (3D, Foundation, Connection) and MathCAD.
• Additional beneficial software experience:
  AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, L-Pile, PLS Tower, TNX Tower, Retain Pro, and HydroCAD.
