JOB SUMMARY

Are you energetic, customer-focused, and excited to learn something new? Ocean Downs Casino is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our Table Games Dealer Training Program. No prior dealing experience is required—we’ll teach you everything you need to know!
Our comprehensive, paid training program prepares you to become a certified Table Games Dealer. Upon successful completion, you may be offered a part time Table Games Dealer position within our fast-paced, guest-centered casino environment.

Expected shifts upon competion of training will be Friday through Sunday evenings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In this training program, you will be taught to:

Deal a variety of casino games with accuracy and professionalism

Provide excellent guest service while maintaining game integrity

Understand all table game rules, dealing procedures, and Maryland gaming regulations

Manage payouts, handle chips, and ensure proper game protection

Communicate clearly and confidently with guests and team members

Work in a fun, high-energy environment while staying calm under pressure

REQUIRED

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

A friendly, outgoing personality with strong customer service skills

The ability to perform quick, accurate mental math

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Professional appearance and attitude

Ability to read, write, speak, understand or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the necessary functions of this position.

Ability to consistently comprehend, retain and execute written, verbal and demonstrated directions, explanations and guidance.

Ability to work in a fast paced environment and effectively communicate with guests, co-workers and management.

Must be able to obtain and keep a License issued by the Maryland State Lottery Agency required of all Gaming Establishment employees

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs without difficulty, repeatedly.

Must be able to sit, walk or stand for extended periods of time without difficulty.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which includes days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
