The Manager, Product Information Management, will work as part of a team focused on driving the collection, maintenance and syndication of product information for the ASSA ABLOY Architectural Door Hardware and Glass Solutions Group. This individual will ensure the Product Information Platform (PIM) is configured in accordance with defined data governance processes and to support internal stakeholders on optimizing the efficacy of the data collected.
This role will also seek out opportunities to utilize PIM to optimize other digital tools and systems for improved business efficiencies and customer experience.
This role will sit onsite in Berlin, CT reporting to the Director of IT for the Commercial Segment.
What you will be doing- Collaborate regularly with business stakeholders, including marketing, product management, IT, sales and other cross functional teams to establish and support the collection, maintenance and syndication of data
- Manage the integration of PIM with other internal and external software systems, identifying opportunities for improved processes and efficiencies
- Create PIM Design Structures for publishing across multiple platforms ensuring that they’re accountable to ensure the highest degree of data quality for product information
- Coordinate all activities related to adding new products as well as all maintenance aspects of product information
- Generate and analyze reports such as tracking quality, consistency, completeness and usage
- Design and architect customer facing web applications for product configuration and selector tools that assist eCommerce efforts
- Project manage the implementation and integration of the Digital Asset Management system, ensuring project milestones are established and met
- Collect, review, standardize and upload products, product information and digital assets
- Execute product information and digital asset syndication requests according to business and customer needs
- Identify gaps in product information and processes and subsequently coordinate and execute activities to address these issues with other stakeholders across the organization
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Business/Marketing or related field
- Must have experience in managing ecommerce websites, product information management (PIM) or product management
- Familiarity with database design and taxonomies preferred
- Product system integration experience, helping facilitate the integration of systems and data within a PIM, focus on process improvement best practices within database
- Demonstrated experience in project management and business analysis experience
- Excellent communication skills and ability to be agile in supporting many businesses partners
- eCommerce, Digital Tools/Applications Development, Digital Marketing, and Marketing Analytics Experience and managing product taxonomies is a plus!
