Lead Engineer, Development, Security and Operations (Dev Sec Ops Engineer)
Berlin, CT
Key Responsibilities- Platform Architecture & Automation Design: implement, maintain Azure application landing zones using Terraform.
- Build and evolve the Internal Developer Platform (IDP) using Harness, Backstage, and related frameworks to deliver developer self‑service and standardized onboarding.
- Engineer and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Harness, Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops, and Git Hub Actions.
- Implement Git Ops and advanced container orchestration across Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Open Shift, and Docker.
- Ensure end‑to‑end automation, observability, and security integration within deployment pipelines.
- Serve as a technical lead and mentor for engineers and citizen developers in Dev Ops, IaC, and automation practices.
- Lead cross‑functional collaboration among development, operations, and security teams to embed Dev Sec Ops , Fin Ops, and governance best practices.
- Participate in incident response, root‑cause analysis, and proactive prevention strategies.
- Support modernization and migration projects to improve cloud scalability, resilience, and compliance.
- 8–10 years of technical engineering experience, including architecture, design, implementation, support, and management of relevant technologies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud architecture with strong knowledge of Dev Sec Ops principles, CI/CD pipelines using Harness, and version control with Git Hub.
- Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), configuration management (Ansible), and artifact management (JFrog Artifactory).
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (AKS, Open Shift).
- Proficiency with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, App Dynamics) and scripting in Bash, Power Shell, or Python.
- Knowledge of compliance‑as‑code, secure cloud architectures, and regulatory frameworks (NIST, CIS, SOX).
- Demonstrated ability to mentor teams, influence technical direction, and drive platform‑level improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; advanced degree desirable.
- Availability for emergency restoration assignments and travel between MA, CT, and NH.
Must be available for emergency restoration assignments as required and for travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
