The Mitigation Division Manager is a full-time, on-site leadership position based in Berlin, CT. This individual will take ownership of the day-to-day performance and continued development of our mitigation division, including water, fire, mold, asbestos, and contents operations.
This is a true leadership role.
The Mitigation Division Manager will lead our project managers and field teams while ensuring projects are properly scoped, documented, staffed, executed, and progressed from initial response through completion.
You will be responsible for maintaining high standards across customer experience, team performance, operational efficiency, documentation, safety, job profitability, and overall department performance.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the mitigation division.
- Manage, coach, develop, and hold project managers and field teams accountable.
- Build a positive, high-performance culture centered around teamwork and accountability.
- Ensure projects are properly scoped, documented, scheduled, staffed, and completed according to company and industry standards.
- Monitor active workload, job progress, production timelines, job costing, gross margins, and department KPIs.
- Review project documentation to ensure files are complete, accurate, and properly maintained.
- Coordinate and communicate with homeowners, insurance adjusters, property managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Assist with complex losses, scope issues, insurance-related questions, and project escalations.
- Ensure compliance with IICRC standards, company procedures, safety requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement systems that improve efficiency, profitability, and customer experience.
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop team members as the department continues to grow.
- Work directly with company ownership and leadership to establish department goals and help shape the future of the organization.

- 2+ years of experience in property restoration, mitigation, construction, or a related field preferred.
- Previous management or leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of water mitigation and restoration processes; experience with fire, mold, asbestos, and contents is a plus.
