Deburring Operator
We're looking for a detail-oriented Deburring Operator who takes pride in precision in finishing work and supporting high-quality aerospace manufacturing at Budney Aerospace. In this role, you'll use hand tools and pneumatic equipment to remove burrs, smooth edges, and polish machined components to meet strict quality standards.

What You'll Do
- Use pneumatic and hand-held grinding tools to remove burrs, sharp edges, and blend or polish surfaces on machined components
- Interpret shop travelers and operation sheets to ensure proper deburring methods and sequence
- Perform visual inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain responsibility for the accuracy and quality of all deburring operations performed
- Ensure all work documentation (travelers) is completed accurately, including proper sequencing, signatures, and dates
- Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to clarify job requirements when needed
- Monitor and report equipment issues or malfunctions to the supervisor
- Maintain adherence to production schedules and workflow priorities
- Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Follow all company safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ergonomic tools such as overhead hoists
- Perform additional duties as assigned
What You Bring
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work in a manufacturing/shop environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Preferred
- Experience using manual and pneumatic grinding and deburring tools
- Familiarity with precision manufacturing or aerospace environments
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday
- Frequent bending, grasping, pulling, pushing, and reaching
- Occasional stooping, stretching, and sitting
- Manual dexterity required for handling tools and small components
