We are seeking a highly skilled Tool & Die Maker/CNC Programmer to support the design, fabrication, and maintenance of precision tooling used in aerospace manufacturing. This role operates in a low-volume, high-mix environment, producing complex tooling, fixtures, and components with extremely tight tolerances and strict quality requirements.

- Build, modify, and repair precision tooling, fixtures, gauges, and dies used in aerospace manufacturing.
- Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and grinders (3‑, 4‑, and/or 5‑axis) to machine complex components.
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications to determine machining approach and tolerances.
- Plan machining sequences, select tooling, and perform setups for prototype and short‑run tooling builds.
- Perform precision machining operations including milling, turning, boring, drilling, threading, and grinding.
- Conduct in‑process and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges, and CMM equipment.
- Troubleshoot machining processes, tooling issues, and dimensional discrepancies during build and prove‑out.
- Fabricate and adjust custom tooling and fixtures as needed to support production efficiency.
Maintain compliance with aerospace quality standards (AS9100, NADCAP as applicable). - Document inspection results, process changes, and shift hand‑off notes.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve tooling design and manufacturability.
- 5+ years of Toolmaker, Tool & Die, or CNC machining experience in a precision environment.
- Proven experience in tooling, machining, or a related manufacturing field.
- Experience designing and building new dies, as well as repairing old dies as needed.
- Proficiency in Mastercam and Solid Works.
- Familiarity with stamping press operations.
- Experience machining stainless steel required.
- Proficiency with precision measuring equipment and inspection techniques.
- Strong mathematical skills (geometry, trigonometry for complex machining calculations).
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects from print to completion.
- CAD/CAM software experience with Mastercam (preferably using HAAS and Fryer CNC machines).
