Sinker EDM Operator
Job Summary:
Responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring sinker EDM machines to produce precision metal components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Set up and operate sinker EDM machines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- Select and install electrodes, fixtures, and tooling.
- Set machine parameters such as voltage, amperage, pulse duration, and flushing.
- Load and position work pieces accurately.
- Monitor machining operations and make adjustments as needed.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM equipment.
- Maintain required dimensional tolerances and surface finishes.
- Troubleshoot basic machine and machining problems.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and keep the work area clean and safe.
- Document production, inspection, and machine information.
- Follow company quality, safety, and production procedures.
