Job Overview

Quality Inspector will perform daily inspection activities as required by the Quality Manager, have a keen eye for detail, an understanding of Aerospace and Military specifications and requirements, the ability to set-up and utilize various inspection equipment, be self-motivated Team Player, organized, and dependable, and have a good working knowledge of Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

Verify raw material and special process specification and certification compliance.

Navigate customer portals to validate superseded and/or revised specifications.

Read, understand and interpret Customer Drawings, Blueprints, and Process Sheets to assure product compliance.

Perform and prepare First Piece, In-process, and Final Inspections.

Set up and utilize necessary inspection equipment to perform inspections, such as Shadow graph, Dial Bore gages, Sunnen gages, Rockwell Hardness Tester, CMM (manual or automatic), Gage Pins, Micrometers, Calipers, Gage Blocks, Indicators, etc.

Document inspections by preparing and completing First Piece and Final Inspection Method Sheets and inputting data into a quality database.

Have good communication skills and be able to prioritize and manage completion of projects per customer delivery requirements.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and Word documents.
  • Ability to understand GD&T requirements.
  • Knowledge of arithmetic involving decimals and fractions and its application to use sketches and measuring instruments.
Additional Qualifications
  • 2 years minimum experience.
  • Experience with calibration and maintenance of measuring equipment.
  • Knowledge of Quality tools, Gage R&R, PFMEA, Control Plan, 8D RCCA, Training.
  • AS9100 QMS or Auditing experience.
  • Continuous Improvement, 5S, Standardization of processes.
  • Additional Quality Certifications.
  • Hands-on experience in manufacturing.
