Building Maintenance Mechanic – Dual License

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Building Maintenance Mechanic – Dual License to perform skilled maintenance, installation and repair work on both the buildings and building electrical, mechanical, and other equipment and building systems.
- Make scheduled tests and inspections.
- Perform preventative maintenance.
- Determine necessary repair/maintenance work on building equipment and fixtures, including but not limited to HVAC air and water‑cooled systems, refrigeration equipment, electrical and electronic controls, pneumatic equipment, and lighting systems.
- Perform skilled work in connection with the installation, removal, operation and maintenance of the building systems and other related physical plant systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid, clean motor vehicle operator’s license.
- Mechanical aptitude/understanding of and ability to apply electrical theory.
- Valid and current Connecticut S-2 and E-2 licenses.
- Five years of related commercial and/or industrial experience in electrical and HVAC system installation, repair and maintenance.
- System maintenance experience required.
- Prior experience in commercial and/or industrial electrical and HVAC system installation.
This position is part of a four‑year job progression:
Starting pay at Step 1 $ 54.40 and progressing in accordance with the union contract. Comprehensive benefits package (refer to company career site for details).
