Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Job Summary:

The OR RN will provide perioperative nursing care in a surgical setting, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes across diverse specialties. The role involves circulating and PACU experience, with flexibility for rotating call and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Administer patient care during surgical procedures, maintaining sterile techniques and patient safety standards.
• Serve as circulating nurse, coordinating surgical activities and advocating for patient needs.
• Monitor patient status in PACU, ensuring smooth recovery and appropriate post-operative care.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members for effective case management.
• Manage documentation and ensure compliance with licensing, certification, and facility protocols.
• Respond to urgent patient needs during scheduled calls and weekends, providing standby support as required.

Qualifications:

• Hold active New Hampshire RN license and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from AHA.
• Demonstrate circulating and PACU nursing experience, specifically in general surgery, G I, OBGYN, orthopedics, ENT, urology, cataracts, or podiatry.
• Possess at least one year of operating room experience with valid references.
• Exhibit proficiency in perioperative nursing skills and adherence to safety guidelines.
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including rotating call, weekends, and evenings.
