Pay Range: $15.68 - $16.51 Per Hour

Appointment Type: Covered Part-Time - Non-Exempt

Work Schedule: 27 hours per week, Mon-Thur, 6:45 AM - 1:30 PM (fall & spring semesters)

BISTRO CASHIER
PART-TIME, FALL & SPRING SEMESTERS, $15.68-$16.51/HOUR

The Community College System of New Hampshire (CCSNH) has established employer status within the New England states (New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island). In compliance with CCSNH policies and state regulations, eligibility for employment within CCSNH and its institutions requires residency within a New England state.

SCOPE OF WORK: Operates the cash register in the White Mountains Community College Bistro and assists in preparing a variety of foods as needed. This position reports directly to the Bistro Supervisor.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Operates cash register, rings out at end of day.
  • Prepares daily coffee set up, replenishes, and breaks down.
  • Replenishes supplies, to include plasticware, napkins, condiments, etc.
  • Stocks and inventories all beverage coolers and vending machines.
  • Assists in preparing for functions.
  • Assists the Cook and Bistro Supervisor as needed.
  • Assists with cleaning of kitchen and dining area; washes dishes.
  • Works in cooperation with Culinary Arts program labs when necessary.
  • Complies with all college, system, state and federal rules and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School diploma, G.E.D. or its equivalent.

Experience: No experience required.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Serv Safe certification preferred.

DESIREDED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in the food service industry and with handling money preferred.

RECOMMENDED WORK TRAITS: Ability to follow established procedures and food safety standards. Organized, with the ability to keep work areas clean and well stocked. Strong communication skills. Maintains clean personal health and sanitation habits. Must be willing to maintain appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the college appointing authority.
