In this position, you will have the opportunity to perform service activities in accordance with work instructions and in compliance with ABB quality and safety guidelines. You will ensure high‑quality customer service on a daily basis by planning service assignments and carrying them out according to customer orders and expectations. With your clear communication skills, you help maintain customer satisfaction and loyalty by clearly conveying schedules and expectations.

This role is part of the Electrification, Smart Power division in Baden. Key stakeholders include customers, field‑service colleagues, and the internal service coordinator team.
Your Main Responsibilities- Collaborating with customers on‑site to identify optimization opportunities and resolve existing challenges
- Performing field‑service tasks, identifying technical issues, and conducting on‑site or remote analysis within the service categories and product areas for which you are certified
- Preparing material lists for service assignments and ensuring that all required materials, parts, and equipment are available and in proper condition
- Providing training to field‑service colleagues and customers when required
- Completed apprenticeship as an automation technician, electrician, electrical installer, or a comparable technical qualification
- At least 3 years of professional experience in automation, electrical engineering, or a related technical field; experience with UPS systems (uninterruptible power supply) is an advantage
- Extensive knowledge of electromechanical systems, diagnostic tools, and field‑service methods in an industrial environment
- High customer orientation, flexibility in handling changing requirements, and a constructive approach to problem‑solving within the team
- Fluent German and basic English skills; professional communication in customer interactions
- Willingness to travel, participate in on‑call duty, and occasionally work on weekends; main service area:
Mittelland / Bern region - Valid driver’s license for assignments within Switzerland
