Casual School Secretary

Hours of work: as needed basis

Terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of Employment for Non-Union Employees (AVRCE).

Reporting to the school Principal:

• Must be able to work independently and accurately while on a flexible schedule.
• Proven secretarial skills with strong communication, cooperative, and organizational abilities.
• Completion of recognized degree or diploma program in office administration is required.

• A demonstrated caring for and interest in working with students.
• The ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, parents, and the public.
• The ability to use current office procedures and computer software, telephone answering skills, and the ability to work with frequent interruptions.
• Effective written communication skills.
• Enthusiasm and a pleasant manner.

A selection process will be conducted for short-listed applicants. Confirmation of your educational qualifications must be included with your application.

The successful applicant will be required to provide a Criminal Record Check and a completed Child Abuse Registry.
