Safety Manager

iBUILT is searching for an experienced Safety Manager to join our team in Berwick. As a safety manager you must have excellent attention to detail to identify hazards. You will also be responsible for discovery of opportunities for improving conditions and execute various safety programs. The ability to communicate guidelines to a multidisciplinary workforce is essential. You will also be responsible for establishing policies that will create and maintain a safe workplace.

The goal is to ensure the workplace meets all legal expectations and actively supports occupational health and safety.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

* Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines

* Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety

* Conduct risk assessments.

* Train all employees in your health and safety procedures.

* Conduct frequent safety inspections and checks.

* Understand the importance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

* Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the policy

* Develop a correct procedure for reporting accidents.

* Respond to any safety complaints and concerns raised by employees.

* Take responsibility for first aid procedures

* Manage emergency procedures.

* Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines

* Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies

* Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment

* Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.

* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

* Bachelor's degree in applicable field of study

* A minimum of 5 years related safety experience required.

* OSHA 10/30 certification

* Prolonged periods of standing

* Must be able to lift to 25 pounds at a time
