Construction Laborer
The construction laborer position is responsible for building and installing structures and frameworks including walls, floors, and door frames. They are also responsible for inspecting and replacing damaged framework, structures, and fixtures. Additionally, they perform basic duties associated with carpentry and masonry.
Responsibilities and duties include building and repairing structures associated with residential and commercial construction/remodeling, setting up equipment to be used at work sites, shaping or cutting materials to specified measurements, grinding, sanding, and polishing surfaces such as concrete or wood, installing and finishing dry wall and flooring surfaces, unloading materials such as lumber, tools, and other equipment used at work sites, and must possess one's own carpentry tools.
Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, relevant experience with carpentry, masonry, and electrical is required, familiarity with residential and commercial construction practices, a valid driver's license, and employment is conditional on verification of clean driving record, background check(s), and pre-employment/random drug testing.
Competencies include communication, technical and mechanical skills, and the ability to work independently.

Supervisory responsibility is none.
The work environment operates in the field, both indoors and outdoors depending on the scope of work.
Physical demands include talking or hearing, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, climbing, crawling, kneeling, lifting, utilizing company-provided equipment, using hands to finger, handle or feel, and reaching with hands and arms. Some job functions will be performed outdoors and expose the employee to changing weather conditions.
Position type/expected hours of work is a full-time position and regular work hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in addition to weekends on an as-needed basis with the ability to work outside of or in addition to those hours as needed.
Travel is required. Travel expectation outside of the local area can vary.
