Responsibilities- Joining us as a Team Leader, provide leadership to a customer-centric team of associates and accelerate seasonal tax business by managing a single H&R Block tax office.
- Serve as the front-line manager, delivering an outstanding client experience and achieving all office-related growth objectives.
- Advance knowledge and skills to excel as a knowledgeable resource on tax topics and products for associates.
- Lead daily activities to ensure that all tax office associates complete work according to deadlines, with attention to quality standards, priorities, and overall goals.
- Build an engaging team environment by training and coaching associates to execute Service Standards and recognize outstanding contributions.
- Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates.
- Create associate work schedules and ensure accurate timekeeping and overtime management.
- Prepare tax returns, as required.
- Conduct timely performance reviews and address performance concerns with the Associate Relations Center as needed.
- Multi-unit people management experience in retail, restaurant, banking, or related industry (preferred).
- 2+ years as a Tax Professional.
- Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement.
- Assist the District General Manager in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office associate positions.
- Experience supervising or managing people and customer service leadership roles.
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course* (if preparing tax returns).
- Annual completion of continuing education and ability to meet IRS and applicable state requirements.
- Computer proficiency with MS Office; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexible work schedule and adaptability to business needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent or higher.

Pay andEmployment Type
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $65.00 per hour. Local minimum wage laws apply. Pay decisions depend on experience, education, skill, performance, and location. Eligible employees may participate in incentive plans and benefits described above.
