About the Role

The Food Service Utility Stocker plays a crucial role in supporting the food service operations by ensuring that all food items are properly stocked and maintained.

Responsibilities
  • Assist manager in unloading and checking deliveries
  • Remove listed foods to be used for the day from freezers, coolers and stock rooms per instructions
  • Assist in stocking the vending machines
  • Keep ice bin filled in faculty cafeteria
  • Maintain a clean and organized storage area
  • Ensure all storerooms, coolers/freezers are neat and organized and stock is regularly rotated using FIFO method
  • Keep garbage collection containers and areas neat and sanitary
  • Empty gondola (the recycling carton) as needed
  • General cleans carts, racks and refrigerator walls, tables, etc.
  • Work in dish room and pot and pan area when not performing other duties
  • Learn to operate tools and equipment according to prescribed safety standards
  • Learn and follow food safety procedures to meet high standards of cleanliness, health, and safety
  • Maintain personal appearance and hygiene
  • Perform other duties as assigned by lead stocker or cafeteria Supervisor
Qualifications
  • Must be able to read, write, and count
  • Must be able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Must have strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Previous food service or stock management experience preferred
Pay range and compensation package
  • $15.00 per hour
