Customer Service Representative

Engineered Marine Products (Bessemer, AL) is growing & looking to add an additional customer service representative! We are a company that is privately owned, employee focused, & an innovative leader in the marine industry. We are looking to hire an experienced individual, who can excel in this Customer Service role, to assist with both our current & new customer base!

Responsibilities:

• Answer incoming customer calls & emails, process customer orders, invoice quickly/accurately, process credits/RGAs, & update tracking numbers.
• Responsible for maintaining a high level of professionalism with clients and working to establish a positive rapport with our customers.
• Maintain/update customer information in the customer service database.
• Work with the management team to stay updated on product knowledge and be informed of any changes in company programs and policies.
• Monitor inventory, while speaking with customers, and notify production department of inquiries to ensure optimal finished goods inventory levels.
• Other office duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a customer service representative preferred (not required).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook and other computer skills.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
• Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous and diligent.
• Able to sit, stand and move around for long hours at a time.
• Multitasking.

Job type, Compensation, & Benefits:

Full-Time:
Monday-Friday 7 A.M.

-->4 P.M. (40 hours per week). Starting pay for this position is $19.00 per hour (depending on prior experience & knowledge) with over-time often available. After the 90-day probation period is over, you will also receive healthcare benefit options (BCBS Health & Dental), & paid sick days. After 1,000 hours of employment, a company matching 401k will be offered. After one year of employment, you will receive two-weeks of paid vacation time.
