Customer Service Representative
Essential duties and responsibilities include maintaining a positive, empathetic and professional attitude toward customers at all times. Respond promptly to customer inquiries. Communicate with customers through various channels and media. Acknowledge and resolve customer complaints in a timely and satisfactory manner while always adhering to the company's core values. Know our products and services inside and out, so that you can answer questions and sell solutions.
Process BOLs, orders, forms, applications, requests and other recurring materials. Keep records of customer interactions, transactions, comments and complaints. Communicate and coordinate with colleagues as necessary. Provide feedback on the efficiency of the customer service process. Manage and/or train a team of junior customer service representatives. Ensure customer satisfaction and provide professional customer support. Engage in additional projects or tasks as assigned.
Education and/or work experience requirements include 3-5 years of customer service experience required. College degree preferred. High school diploma required. Experience working in the transportation industry is preferred. Knowledge of and demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Must possess excellent and accurate organizational skills to ensure all work is completed in a timely fashion. Outstanding communication skills to clearly articulate at all levels is critical.
Physical requirements include the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or work station. Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discern visual cues or signals. The ability to communicate orally.
