The EH&S Supervisor will oversee RSM EH&S programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Within these programs, the position will actively seek improvements to the EH&S programs for RSM in compliance with ISO 14001:2015, ISO 9001:2015, and OSHA standards. The position will be responsible for facilitating improvements in RSM business to ensure we meet our EH&S objectives.
LOCATION: Fully Onsite - 4251 Turin Dr, Bessemer, AL 35020
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, and other period-based inspections as required by EH&S policies and regulations.
- Maintain Recycling and General Refuse programs.
- Conduct daily visual inspections and documentation of safety compliance for processes within RSM.
- Conduct training sessions with team members on EH&S processes.
- Lead Safety Committee and facilitate outcome of committee decisions.
- Develop and implement JSA for processes within facility.
- Maintain First Aid / First Responder program.
- Maintain training program.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities within RSM.
- Lead RSM's compliance with OSHA 10 / 30 Certifications.
- Perform and document daily compliance inspections for all forklifts and cranes.
- 1-2 years of demonstrated EH&S experience in an industrial setting.
- Experience with JSA (Job Safety Analysis).
- Experience with Hazardous Waste programs.
- Proven problem solving and product investigation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, as well as strong presentation skills.
- Experience writing and revising procedures, work instructions, forms, visual aids, etc.
- Experience working within an ISO registered system.
