Grace Klein Community is seeking a Volunteer and Serve Team Engagement Coordinator to support volunteer recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and retention. The hybrid role focuses on guiding individuals from first‑time volunteer involvement to engaging serve teams, including churches, schools, workplaces, and community groups, and ultimately into deeper engagement as in‑kind and financial donors.
Key Responsibilities- Recruit, onboard, and retain volunteers through relational communication and consistent follow‑up
- Manage volunteer waivers and engagement data in
- Connect volunteers with serving opportunities aligned to their skills and interests
- Encourage volunteers to engage serve teams from their church, school, or workplace
- Support serve team coordination and communication
- Track matching gift and volunteer grant opportunities using Double the Donation
- Collaborate with Development staff to support volunteer‑to‑donor engagement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience with CRM systems required, preferred
- Experience with volunteer coordination or nonprofit administration preferred
- Experience with Double the Donation is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a people‑first approach
- Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
- Occasional evenings and weekends required for serve teams and events
- The position reports to Natalie King
- Hours are to be recorded in Isolved daily and confirmed at the end of each day every Tuesday. Time off must be requested in Isolved as well.
- Payroll is via direct deposit and paid weekly
