Responsibilities

Med Surg RNs provide bedside care for a diverse patient population, performing individualized assessments to develop personalized care plans. They prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments. Key duties include:

• Preparing, administering, and documenting prescribed medications
• Responding to adverse symptoms with appropriate interventions
• Changing dressings, inserting catheters, and initiating IVs as needed
