Concrete Finisher
Bessemer, AL
OverviewThe Concrete Finisher is responsible for placing, finishing, and repairing concrete surfaces to ensure a smooth, level, and high-quality finish. This role involves working on various construction projects, preparing surfaces, and using hand and power tools to complete concrete work according to specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Place, spread, and level freshly poured concrete
- Smooth, finish, and edge concrete surfaces
- Set forms and ensure proper alignment before pouring
- Apply curing compounds and sealants as needed
- Repair cracks, imperfections, or surface defects
- Operate hand tools and finishing equipment
- Follow project specifications and safety guidelines
- Maintain a clean and safe job site
- Prior experience in concrete finishing or construction preferred
- Ability to read and follow instructions and measurements
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Outdoor construction sites
- Exposure to weather, heavy equipment, and physical labor
- Requires standing, bending, kneeling, and repetitive motion
This position plays a key role in ensuring concrete surfaces are properly finished, durable, and meet project quality standards.
