Airgas is Hiring for a CDL Class A Route Driver in BESSEMER, AL.

Consistent routine:
Monday-Friday predictable schedule featuring a 7am start time to support team flow

Dedicated schedule focused on team support and operational excellence consisting of an average 50-55 hour work week

Early Access:
Your benefits start after just 30 days of employment

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Load and unload the truck daily with gas cylinders & supplies
• Nurture courteous & professional relationships with customers
• Support deliveries in a timely manner
• Safely secure and unsecure cylinders
• Complete deliveries on customer property sites using a hand cart; we emphasize the physically active and hands-on nature of this position.
• Drivers will frequently move in and out of their vehicle
• A day in the life of Airgas driver

Are you a MATCH?

• Valid Class A with HAZMAT (or able to obtain within 60 days from hire date) & Airbrake endorsements
• No Automatic Restriction on CDL. Must be able and willing to drive a manual Transmission.
• Maintain appropriate driver’s license, medical card & endorsements
• No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accident in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years
• No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years
• Must be able to work in a drug-free environment
• Be able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with the aid of material handling equipment
• Must have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or be able able to provide proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 12 months.
