Receiving Clerk – Support operations by logging all incoming purchase orders, auditing receiving paperwork for accuracy, and ensuring stores are properly stocked. Monitor merchandise for defects, coordinate with vendors for packing lists and freight bills, maintain filing systems, and operate distribution computer systems. Use industrial motorized and non‑motorized equipment to unload, transport, select, stock, and load heavy merchandise.
ShiftFriday – Sunday, 6 pm – 6:30 am
Responsibilities- Log all incoming purchase orders.
- Audit receiving paperwork to ensure accuracy.
- Assist inventory to maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Inspect incoming/outgoing merchandise for defects and damage.
- Call vendors for packing lists and freight bills when necessary.
- Maintain a comprehensive filing system for completed receiving packets.
- Operate distribution computer systems to control merchandise flow.
- Use motorized and non‑motorized equipment to unload trailers, transport, select, stock, and load heavy/large merchandise.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Coach.
- Work a set schedule that may be changed by management as needed.
- Be available to work morning, afternoon, night, or weekend shifts, including overtime.
- Work in a distribution/warehouse environment with associated physical and environmental requirements.
- Lift at least 25 lb; lift up to 70 lb as required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Demonstrated good attendance record.
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- If internal, no written warnings in the last 6 months or final warnings in the last 12 months.
- Post‑secondary education in business, supply chain management, transportation or related field.
- Experience in a customer service role.
- Experience using troubleshooting processes to resolve problems.
- Experience in distribution centre operations.
- Experience with software applications such as Excel, Access or data management systems (Lowe’s DMS preferred).
- Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously, prioritizing and time‑managing effectively.
- Previous experience operating power equipment (e.g., Reach truck or RC).
