Parts Counter Clerk Job Bessemer area,Alabama USA,Warehouse

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Parts Counter Clerk to support daily plant operations by managing inventory, assisting with parts distribution, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, basic computer knowledge, and the ability to read and interpret measurements using a tape measure. Tape measure reading is required, and candidates must successfully complete an assessment to be considered for the position.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
Assist various departments by pulling, organizing, and distributing parts, supplies, and equipment.
Support the Stores Department with inventory control, data entry, parts tracking, and organization.
Receive incoming deliveries and accurately enter purchase orders into Fishbowl inventory software.
Assist with receiving and issuing parts, tools, supplies, and materials.
Direct delivery drivers to the appropriate areas for pickups and drop-offs.
Lift, move, and organize parts and materials as needed.
Maintain an organized parts and storage area.
Issue replacement PPE, tools, and parts while maintaining accurate activity logs.
Review maintenance checklists for equipment, including forklifts and cranes, to identify needed repairs, replacements, or fuel requirements.
Submit completed checklists and documentation for record keeping.
Perform general housekeeping, cleanup, and additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Must be able to read and interpret measurements using a tape measure.

Must successfully pass a tape measure assessment and any required evaluations for consideration.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to accurately enter and maintain inventory records.

Ability to lift and organize parts and supplies.

Comfortable working in a manufacturing/industrial environment.

Reliable attendance and ability to follow safety procedures.
