Mortgage Assistant

We are currently seeking motivated and member-oriented individuals to join our team as a Mortgage Assistant.

We are seeking a Mortgage Assistant to provide service assistance to members and the mortgage department by answering inquiries and researching and resolving issues.

• Greets and welcomes members and guests.
• Answers inquiries regarding general information on mortgage products.
• Processes departmental mail and scans loan file documents.
• Processes approved invoices and maintains departmental file retentions process.
• Orders verification of employment for all loans going to closing.
• Prepares daily Trigger's report for Mortgage Loan Originators.
• Updates and creates departmental reports and the daily rate sheet on the intranet.
• Ensures paid-off mortgage loans are released in an accurate and timely manner.
• Types notices to county government offices.
• Posts the receipt of funds into the appropriate general ledger and maintains spreadsheet of department bills.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year to two years of similar or related experience, preferably in the mortgage/lending industry.
• Exceptional customer service experience.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

• Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Saturday Hours 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Rotating; approx. once every 6 weeks)
• Full Time Employees have a 40-hour work week within the hours listed above.

Must be able to work and travel to different credit union locations as determined by management.
