WORK SCHEDULE

Weekly rehearsals, home football games, plus private lessons as scheduled

JOB SUMMARY

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the director of the SNU Drumline during the fall semester. The successful candidate would also serve as adjunct instructor of our percussion applied lessons and ensembles in both the fall and spring semesters.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions:

* Direct all aspects of the Drumline in coordination with the Marching Band and the Marching Band Director

* Coordinate the Frontline of the Marching Band field shows

* Teach applied percussion lessons to music majors and non-majors

* Teach drum set lessons to music majors and non-majors

* Direct the Percussion Ensemble

* Recruit music majors and non-major ensemble participants

* Assist the Director of Bands in coordinating Drumline involvement at athletic events with the Athletic Director

* Maintain a local and regional profile to assist in attracting students to the program
