Job Summary
Bethany High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our administrative team as a High School Assistant Principal. This full‑time position plays a crucial role in supporting the principal in the overall management of the school, fostering a positive learning environment, and ensuring academic excellence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, a commitment to student success, and the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and parents.
Responsibilities- Assist the principal in the development and implementation of school policies, procedures, and programs.
- Support and evaluate teaching staff to ensure high‑quality instruction and student engagement.
- Collaborate with faculty to develop and implement curriculum and instructional strategies that meet the diverse needs of students.
- Oversee student discipline and behavior management, ensuring a safe and respectful school environment.
- Facilitate communication between students, parents, and staff to address academic and behavioral concerns.
- Coordinate and lead professional development opportunities for staff to enhance instructional practices.
- Assist in the management of school budgets and resources, ensuring efficient allocation of funds.
- Participate in the development and implementation of school improvement plans and initiatives.
- Monitor student attendance and academic performance, implementing interventions as needed.
- Organize and support extracurricular activities and events to promote student engagement and school spirit.
- Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related field.
- Valid state certification as an Assistant Principal or Principal.
- Minimum of three years of teaching experience, with at least one year in a leadership role preferred.
- Strong understanding of curriculum development, instructional strategies, and assessment practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of students, staff, and parents.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable school environment.
- Proficiency in using technology for administrative tasks and communication.
