Job Summary

Bethany Middle School is seeking a dedicated and passionate full-time Middle School Mathematics Teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment, inspire students to develop a love for mathematics, and engage them in critical thinking and problem-solving. This role requires a commitment to academic excellence and the ability to adapt instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and the school curriculum.
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
• Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback and support.
• Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and respect.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and academic expectations.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in mathematics education.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives that enhance the overall educational experience.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behavior.
• Support students in developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills through real-world applications of mathematics.
• Contribute to the school community through participation in meetings, committees, and school events.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
• Valid state teaching certification in Mathematics for middle school.
• Proven experience teaching mathematics at the middle school level is preferred.
• Strong understanding of middle school mathematics curriculum and instructional strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance instruction and student learning.
• Passion for teaching and a desire to inspire students to achieve their full potential in mathematics.
