Job Shift: Direct Patient Care
The Physical Therapy Assistant implements treatment programs under the guidance and supervision of a licensed physical therapist. This position strives to maximize function and movement, minimize physical limitations, and increase independence and participation of each child through providing therapeutic techniques, equipment, and opportunities.
Responsibilities- Perform individualized treatment procedures in a professional and compassionate manner to maximize the child’s performance. (70%)
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with members of the patient care team; perform timely and accurate documentation and stay up to date on the most recent Physical Therapy techniques through research and CE. (20%)
- Participate in staff training, student observations, clinical instruction of students and interns, and family training opportunities. (5%)
- Other duties as assigned. (5%)
- Graduate of accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- Pediatric experience preferred.
- Physical Therapist Assistant license from the state of Oklahoma or proven eligibility for licensing within 3-6 months of employment with a temporary license.
