Pediatric Physical Therapist Complex Care

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Upon provider referral, performs patient evaluation and develops specific individualized treatment plan including long and short term goals that are measurable and objective.
• Performs individualized treatment procedures in a professional and compassionate manner to maximize child’s performance.
• Collaborates and communicates effectively with members of the patient care team, performs timely and accurate documentation, and stays up to date on the most recent physical therapy techniques through research and CE.
• Evaluates need, orders, and/or fabricates appropriate therapeutic equipment as indicated by patient need.
• Participates in staff trainings, student observations, clinical instruction of students and interns, and family training opportunities.

• Graduate of accredited school of Physical Therapy.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Physical Therapy License from the state of Oklahoma or proven eligibility for licensing within 3-6 months of employment with temporary provisional license.

Due to the nature of our pediatric services, this organization’s positions are classified as safety-sensitive roles. Under the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Use and Patient Protection Act (OMMA), a safety sensitive position is defined as any job that includes tasks or duties that the employer believes could affect the safety and health of the employee performing the task or others. This statute allows Bethany Children’s Health Center to refuse to hire an applicant or discharge an employee in a safety-sensitive position, who tests positive for marijuana even if the applicant or employee holds a valid Oklahoma medical marijuana license.
