The Transportation Manager is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day transportation operations of Daily Living Centers. The Transportation Manager supervises team members, delegating tasks accordingly, monitoring performance, and conducting regular follow-ups.

Essential Functions

  • Direct the daily work and safety of drivers and participants ensuring safe transport to and from centers
  • Ensure driver compliance with local, state and federal regulatory agencies (i.e. ODOT, Modiv Care, OSHA, etc.) and ensure that electronic logs are kept current and accurate; maintain mileage records and other reports as needed
  • Direct labor hours, travel, fuel and consumable supplies within budget, maximizing time and cost efficiencies; prepare work schedules including extra workdays and shifts as needed
  • Monitor effectiveness of daily routing activities
  • Interpret, train, and consistently enforce DLC Policies and Procedures
  • Perform management functions of staff selection, development, discipline, performance reviews and/or terminations
  • Apply all relevant policies in a consistent, timely and objective manner
  • Make independent decisions in support of company policies and procedures in a timely manner
  • Work proactively and constructively with peers and leadership
  • Manage the pressures and stress associated with a deadline‑oriented atmosphere and customer service issues
Required

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required plus 2‑3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with staff, participants, and their families
Additional Eligibility Requirements
  • Current driver’s license with proof of current personal automobile insurance
  • Safety and sensitivity training
  • Lifts, carries, and pushes equipment or supplies exceeding 25 lbs.
