Job Purpose:
The Nursing House Supervisor serves as the on‑site administrative representative during all hours and is responsible for the coordination and oversight of clinical operations across all inpatient units. This role provides leadership support to unit supervisors, ensures appropriate staffing coverage, and facilitates effective communication between departments to ensure safe, high‑quality patient care. The House Supervisor plays a key role in crisis management, resource allocation, and maintaining hospital‑wide standards.
- Provide administrative oversight and support to unit supervisors and clinical teams throughout the hospital (40%).
- Serve as primary point of contact after‑hours for decision‑making, including emergency responses, patient placement, and conflict resolution; ensure adherence to policies and report critical incidents (35%).
- Conduct patient rounds, support patient/family concerns, and coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges to optimize patient flow and bed utilization; participate in leadership meetings and performance‑improvement initiatives (20%).
- Other duties as assigned (5%).
- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Ability to speak, understand, read, and write English required. - Experience:
3+ years as RN Staff and 2+ years supervisory experience required. - License/Certification/Credential:
Registration and current RN license in Oklahoma. CPR and PALS Certification.
