Responsibilities

Sign On Bonus Options up to $15,000 for Full Time Candidates:

The Registered Nurse (RN), under the supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer, provides physical assessments of residents, implements resident's treatment plan, evaluates response to treatment, provides complete documentation, performs physical restraint assessments, administers medications as prescribed and provides health care education for residents and families. The RN supervises the daily duties of the Mental Health Techs and LPN staff, and assures that all residents are maintained in a safe environment.

Performs duties in accordance with the ANA Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Care, and facility mission, values, policies, and behavioral standards.

Full Time 36hr/wk 12hr Shifts 7pm-7:30am

Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital (a UHS facility)

Provides inpatient and residential treatment services for youth ages 5-17, as well as inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services for adults ages 18+.

• Valid Oklahoma RN license (required)
• CPR certification (preferred)
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (required)
• BSN or Master’s degree (preferred)
• Minimum of one (1) year psychiatric experience in mental health nursing (preferred)
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Successfully complete a drug test
• Successfully pass a national background check
• Physical agility to manage patients
• Ability to push, pull and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Strong Computer skills
• Excellent Communication skills
• Strong Leadership skills
• Exposure to psychiatric patients who may exhibit violent/aggressive behavior
• Potential for exposure to communicable diseases, blood/body fluids and other hazardous waste
