Finance & Payroll Specialist (AP/AR Focus)

$50,000 – $60,000

Finance & Payroll SpecialistKey Responsibilities Payroll Administration
- Process biweekly payroll for under 50 employees (hourly and salaried staff)
- Maintain payroll records, deductions, and compliance requirements
- Reconcile payroll activity and allocate wages across funding sources
- Ensure accuracy of payroll data and supporting documentation
- Process approximately 30–50 invoices weekly
- Manage AP/AR transactions, deposits, reimbursements, and petty cash
- Coordinate vendor payments and maintain accurate financial records
- Ensure proper documentation and organization of all transactions
- Track grant‑related expenditures and funding allocations
- Assist with payroll allocation across multiple funding sources
- Support compliance with grant requirements and restricted funding guidelines
- Perform account reconciliations and assist with monthly financial reporting
- Support audit preparation and nonprofit compliance requirements
- Assist with budgeting and internal control processes alongside finance leadership
- 2–3+ years of experience in payroll and accounting functions
- Experience with AP, AR, and payroll processing
- Exposure to nonprofit or grant‑funded accounting environments
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- Experience with MIP Fund Accounting (Abila MIP)
- Prior nonprofit experience
- Well‑rounded exposure across payroll, AP/AR, and grant accounting
