The Bethel Park School District is seeking a dynamic, innovative educator to serve as an Elementary STREAM (Science, Technology, Resourcefulness, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) Teacher. STREAM teachers provide equitable access to hands‑on, interdisciplinary learning experiences that foster curiosity, creativity, and problem‑solving. This position will deliver instruction as part of the Unified Arts rotation in the new Bethel Park Elementary School.
Essential Functions- Design and deliver engaging STREAM instruction aligned to PA-STEELS, CSTA Computer Science Standards, and ISTE Standards for Students.
- Teach and model core units of study such as:
Fluency with Materials & Space, Engineering & Design, Data Literacy, Computer Science, Digital Storytelling, and Environmental Literacy. - Integrate high‑tech, low‑tech, and no‑tech materials into hands‑on learning activities.
- Support students in developing STREAM‑specific skills such as coding, prototyping, circuitry, measurement, observation, and data analysis.
- Nurture STREAM dispositions including creativity, curiosity, perseverance, empathy, collaboration, and resourcefulness.
- Facilitate project‑based and inquiry‑driven learning while maintaining safe classroom management practices.
- Collaborate with colleagues to vertically align curriculum across K‑5 grade spans.
- Incorporate use of the school's STREAM classrooms and Nature Lab outdoor classroom into instructional practice.
- Participate in department planning, curriculum mapping, and continuous program refinement.
- Communicate effectively with families and stakeholders about STREAM learning experiences.
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.

Travel RequirementsTravels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to integrate science, engineering, computer science, and the arts into student‑centered instruction.
- Knowledge of coding, circuitry, and digital fabrication.
- Experience in design‑thinking and maker‑based learning preferred.
- Commitment to fostering curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration in elementary learners.
- Strong classroom management skills suited for facilitating project‑based learning.
Works in standard office and school building environments.

Qualifications Profile- Certification/License:
- Technology Education PK-12
- Elementary Education (PK-4 or K-6)
- Art PK-12
- Music PK-12
- Library Science PK-12
- Bachelor's from an accredited college or university in Elementary Education or related discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
- Master's Degree in related area preferred.
Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade levels a plus.
