Technology Administrative Assistant

The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is a Tribal health care organization, serving nearly 30,000 people living across rural, southwest Alaska in villages with populations from about 10 to more than 1,000. Bethel, the regional hub and location of the only hospital in the region, has a population of nearly 7,000. The Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta is home to thousands of lakes and two primary rivers—the Kuskokwim and Yukon.

The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation (YKHC) is located in the Southwestern Alaska town of Bethel, with a total of approximately 6,000 people. YKHC supports 1500 employees, providing the health services to a primarily Yup'ik Eskimo Native population for an area the size of Oregon. Services are provided through a Bethel located hospital and 50 clinics throughout the YK Delta.

Position Summary:

To provide the Technology Department administrative oversight for hardware and software purchase, equipment tracking, software license tracking, and helps with coverage of the Technology Support Services. Answers incoming calls to the YKHC mainline. Assists the Technology Department managers with white boards, purchase requests, scheduling meetings, typing and distributing meeting minutes, distributing mail, and training sessions.

Position

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required. Experience with Microsoft (MS) Windows, MS Office Professional required. Keyboard skills required.

  • Driver's license required.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizations.
  • Knowledge of Specialized Software to provide administrative support and maintenance of the IT support center database application for call tracking and SLA requirements as well as Procurement of supplies and materials distributed by IT
