Safety Analyst

Position Overview

APT Research is hiring a Safety Analyst in Huntsville, AL to support MDA on our MAPSS Safety contract.

• Experience implementing system safety processes and methodologies in accordance with Government and Industry Standards.
• Working knowledge of MIL-STD-882 (series) during design, development, use, and maintenance of safety‑critical hardware and software systems in complex aerospace and/or weapons systems.
• Analyze, research, assess, and organize technical data into concise technical reports and presentations.
• Organize, schedule, and facilitate technical meetings and working groups.

• Prefer bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET‑accredited institution and experience in safety.
• Acceptable alternative:
  Bachelor's degree in a scientific field (e.g., Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science) with 3 years of demonstrated skill and relevant experience in system safety engineering and/or software system safety engineering.
• Acceptable alternative: 6 years demo.

• Must have a SECRET level clearance or higher.
