Adult Probation Officer 1/2A
The Department of Corrections, Division of Institutions, is recruiting for an Adult Probation Officer 1/2A for the Yukon Kuskokwim Correctional Center (YKCC) located in Bethel, Alaska.
What You Will Be Doing:
This position is responsible for the full range of Probation and Parole work incumbent will work directly with local, State and Federal law enforcement agencies, the Court system, the Alaska Board of Parole, the District Attorney's Office, the Public Defender Agency, the Tundra Center Community Residential Center, and other community agencies to assist inmates in their re-entry efforts while balancing community safety.
The incumbent will make recommendations to the PO III and Superintendent regarding appropriate custody levels and housing placements.

The Yukon Kuskokwim Correctional Center (YKCC) is a multi-function, state operated adult correctional institution. The institution has a capacity of 220 male and female inmates and employs a staff of 51.
