What You Will Be Doing:

This position provides supervision and case management for adult male and female offenders who are required to report to the Department of Corrections. Job duties include working directly with felony offenders by conducting office meetings, interviews, completing risk/need assessments, urinalysis tests, providing referrals for treatment needs, conducting field contacts, as well as violation arrests and offender transports. The position requires acquiring and documenting historical and current information for the individuals under the supervision of the office.

Officers ensure offender compliance with court or parole board issued conditions and report any violation to those entities.

The Working Environment You Can Expect:

The Bethel District Office is responsible for a geographic area that includes most of the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta, necessitating travel from Bethel to surrounding communities via small aircraft, boats, or the ice road. The daily work environment includes interaction with defendants, victims, the court, and community partners to enhance effective supervision and community safety.
